Today is the second day of National French Week and today's segment is about Monaco. Monaco is the world's second smallest country, but also one of the richest. This coastal nation is less than a mile square and home to over 350,000 people. Monaco is located on France's Mediterranean coastline and is known for its expensive lifestyle and natural beauty. Braving hard rain, bitter cold and windy conditions at the impressive Seneca Hickory Stick Golf Course in Lewiston, New York – top local junior golfers from western New York and Southern Ontario qualified for the 2014 Veritas World Junior Golf Championship. Attention Senior! The Scott Kruenger Memorial Scholarship applications are now available in the House 3 office. This is a $40,000 scholarship given to 2 Orchard Park seniors that have a 90% or higher GPA, will complete 4 units of science and math upon graduation and participated in a school sport for at least one full season.
