The French artist Claude Monet was born in Paris in 1840. At the age of 20, Monet was introduced to "plein-air" or outdoor painting. He continued to develop this style. Monet banded together with other French artists to develop the "Impressionist" movement in art. His paintings met with great critical acclaim, so please check out the display of Monet's work on the thrid floor outside the language lab. "Au revoir!"
