Guidance (All Students)

Join admission representatives from Emory, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, the University of Virginia, and Washington University for a group presentation. The event will take place at Canisius High School at 7:00pm on September 27th. Go to the Dates to Remember page in the School Counseling section of the high school website to register.

ACT Exam (All Students)

There will be an ACT exam administered at OPHS on Saturday October 28. The registration deadline is Friday September 22. Register at ACT.org. We recommend that all students take the ACT with Writing. Please see your guidance counselor or Mrs. Goff in room 164 with any questions.

Counseling (All Students)

The following colleges will be visiting today: Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Services at 9:30am, Ithaca College at 10:30am, SUNY Albany at 11:30am, University of Tampa at 12:30pm, University of Dayton at 1:30pm. All college reps will meet with students in the House 2 Conference Room.

class of 2020 (Sophomores)

Sophomore class homeroom reps. There is a meeting on Wednesday in room 256 at 2pm. Be there!

OPEO (All Students)

Attention all students: there will be an OP Educational Outreach meeting this Thursday, September 21st, at 2 pm in room 328. Come see how fun it is to help other throughout the world! Please see Mrs. Holtermann in room 328 with any questions or concerns.

QMB (All Students)

Attention faculty, staff, and students who park in the Baker Lot... all vehicles must be moved to the first four rows by 5:30pm today! QMB has rehearsal this evening. Thank you!

Senior Class (All Students)

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, September 30th from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m.. Be sure to get your Dance Ticket that will be sold in the Aud after school starting tomorrow,Thursday, Sept. 21st and Friday, Sept. 22nd from 2:00- 3:00 They will also be sold next Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are $20. Be sure to bring your school ID, cash, or a check made payable to the OPHS -Class of 2108. See you there!

science club (All Students)

Attention all students. The first Science Club meeting will be TODAY after school in Room 160. All students are welcome to attend. We will vote for officers. There will be snacks, and we will have a hoop glider competition. Come join the fun. Room 160 after school TODAY. See Mrs. Collins in Room 160 if you have any questions.

STAP Comm (Freshmen)

STAP Comm is looking for one Freshman to serve as a Class Liaison. This student will have varying responsibilities in the student government, but generally will serve to work with both their Class Officers and the STAP Comm officers. Any interested Freshmen should pick up an application from Mrs. Rominger in room 163. All applications are due by Monday, September 25 at 2:00.

STEM Club (All Students)

Attention all Students! Do you have a real interest in Aerospace, Aviation, Rocketry... or 'drones?' Well, so do we!! The STEM Club meets weekly on Thursday at 2:00 pm in Room 115 to learn more about these subject areas, and to design, build and fly projects in regional and national competitions. If Science, Technology, Engineering or Math is your thing... come and join us for our first meeting this Thursday and see what you can do!

Hockey (All Students)

Attention all Boys Ice Hockey players: There is a mandatory parent meeting Wednesday September 27th at 6:30pm in the high school auditorium. At least 1 parent from each player needs to attend. Mock Trial (All Students)

Attention all students interested in law, debate and competition. The Orchard Park Mock trial Team will hold its first meeting of the year on Thursday September 21st at 2pm in room #127. Please see Mr. Janas for details.

Guidance (All Students)

Every year, two student leaders from each state and the District of Columbia are selected to participate in an all expenses paid government leadership program in Washington, DC from March 3-10, 2018. The students engage in a series of seminars and briefings with Senators and members of the House of Representatives, and meet with various government officials. The School Counseling Department is sponsoring a series of monthly workshops on topics related to the college admissions process. Come to the Commons on Thursday, September 21st at 2:00pm for the first workshop of the year on College Essay Writing. This workshop is geared towards seniors currently working on their college essays however all students are welcome to attend.

Cancer Awareness Club (All Students)

Attention all students interested in Cancer Awareness Club! We hope you will join us as we raise money, build awareness and offer support to those impacted by cancer. Our first meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, September 20th at 2 pm in Room 226. See Mrs. Babbles or Mrs. Quinn with any questions.

There will be a highly selective college information session held at the Buffalo Marriott on Millersport Highway on Sunday, September 24th at 7:00pm. DECA (All Students)

The next DECA meeting is Wednesday, September 20 after school in Room 128. We have lots of important information to hand out so be there! New members encouraged and welcome.

buddy club (All Students)

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Sign-ups for Windom Buddy Club have begun. All materials are in the House 1 Office. Please sign up early to ensure your spot. Buddy Club is a great way to get involved and to make a difference in an elementary student's life. See Mr. Behm with questions.

Media Productions Club (All Students)
