Guidance (All Students)

Join admission representatives from Emory, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, the University of Virginia, and Washington University for a group presentation. The event will take place at Canisius High School at 7:00pm on September 27th. Go to the Dates to Remember page in the School Counseling section of the high school website to register.

ACT Exam (All Students)

There will be an ACT exam administered at OPHS on Saturday October 28. The registration deadline is Friday September 22. Register at ACT.org. We recommend that all students take the ACT with Writing. Please see your guidance counselor or Mrs. Goff in room 164 with any questions.

buddy club (All Students)

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Sign-ups for Windom Buddy Club have begun. All materials are in the House 1 Office. Please sign up early to ensure your spot. Buddy Club is a great way to get involved and to make a difference in an elementary student's life. See Mr. Behm with questions.

pep club (All Students)

Powder puff tickets are on sale after school in the bookstore. Get them early, for a cheaper price and you do not have to wait in line.

PULSE Literary Magazine (All Students)

Attention all students. Are you a budding writer, searching for an audience? Are you a critic, excited about checking out what's new in creative writing? Join us at PULSE, OP's Literary Magazine. Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 26, at 2pm in room 351. All are welcome. Questions? See Mrs. Bastedo in room 351 or Mr. Perrelli in room 352.

STAP Comm (Freshmen)

STAP Comm is looking for one Freshman to serve as a Class Liaison. This student will have varying responsibilities in the student government, but generally will serve to work with both their Class Officers and the STAP Comm officers. Any interested Freshmen should pick up an application from Mrs. Rominger in room 163. All applications are due by Monday, September 25 at 2:00.

Senior Class (All Students)

The Homecoming Dance is next Saturday, September 30th from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m.. Be sure to get your Dance Ticket that will be sold in the Aud after school today from 2:00- 3:00. They will also be sold next Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are $20. Be sure to bring your school ID, cash, or a check made payable to the OPHS- Class of 2018. See you there!

Hockey (All Students)

Attention all Boys Ice Hockey players: There is a mandatory parent meeting Wednesday September 27th at 6:30pm in the high school auditorium. At least 1 parent from each player needs to attend. This meeting is for all levels of boys Ice Hockey Varsity, JV, Club, and Fed. Any questions see coach Fonz or Coach Dannecker

art club (All Students)

If you took Ceramics 1 or Ceramics 2 last year, please come down to room 152 to pick up your work from the end of the semester

Guidance (All Students)

Juniors and Seniors: there will be a college fair in the Commons on Tuesday, 9/26 from 8:30am-9:30am. Admissions representatives from the WNY area will be available to meet with you to discuss majors, athletics, housing opportunities, tuition, financial aid, clubs, and how to apply. Report to your 2nd and/or 3rd period class and ask your teacher for a pass to attend.

Counseling (All Students)

The following colleges will be visiting today: Wagner College at 10:30am, Seton Hill University at 11:30am, La Roche College at 12:30pm, Seton Hall University at 1:30pm. All college reps will meet with students in the House 2 Conference Room.

Guidance (All Students)

There will be a highly selective college information session held at the Buffalo Marriott on Millersport Highway on Sunday, September 24th at 7:00pm. The following schools will be represented: Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn and Stanford. Please go to the School Counseling Dates to Remember page to register.

destination imagination (Co-Curricular)

There will be an organizational meeting of Destination Imagination Thursday at 2pm in room 261. Students who have already formed teams or are interested in finding out more about DI are encouraged to attend. Any questions? See Mrs. Baker in room 261.
