Orchard Park junior Erich Spitz shot even-par 72 Tuesday to win the ECIC boys golf league individual championship and sectional qualifier at Diamond Hawk Golf Course in Cheektowaga. Spitz finished three strokes in front of J.P. Rehak, a junior from Williamsville South, and Jon Needham, a West Seneca West senior. They each shot 75. The Girls tennis team won the prestious Gold Flight Championship tennis Tournamnet that was held at our own courts yesterday. This tournament includes the top 10 winning teams in the Erie county and Niagara counties. 70 athletes competed. this is O.P.'s 2nd year in a row winning this tournament. Congrats girls!!!
If students would like their picture retaken, were absent for picture days in September, or are new to the high school and did not have their picture taken, retakes will be held this upcoming Thursday, October 17th until 3:00 pm in the Auditorium. Picture retake packets can be picked up in the House One office. Students should bring their unwanted picture packet and give it to the photographer if they are having their picture retaken.

For student athletes participating in winter sports who need a physical, physicals will be given on Friday October 11th and Tuesday October 22nd from 2:00-2:30 in the Health Office. Physicals must be up-to-date in order to participate. Forms are available in the Health Office.

Congratulations to Junior Erich Spitz who became the 4th player in Orchard Park School History to win Medalist-Honors at the 2013 ECIC Boy's Golf Individual Championship. Erich shot even-par 72 at Diamond Hawk Golf Course yesterday and is now the reigning 2013 ECIC Boy's Golf Individual Champion. Senior Adam Patronik finished in 4th place with a 4 over par 76. Adam had 4 birdies on the day and was one of 9 2013 All-ECIC All Stars. Sophomores Jack Devic and Zach Stebbins both shot 81's
