Attention senior males - The Scalp and Blade Scholarship program is now available, which awards $2,500 per year, renewable for a total of 4 years. Applicants must have a high standard of scholarship, demonstrated by Regents and high school grades, standardized test scores and rank in class. Must have excellent personal characteristics, habits, diligence, be personable and possess outstanding leadership qualities both inside and outside school activities. See Mrs. Linder in H

Spanish National Honor Society (All Students)

Spanish National Honor Society Members: Please remember to turn in your $20.00 donation to Mrs. Z in room 322 for this year's charity fund raiser. Your name and level of Spanish must be written on envelope. Remember you can ask four people for $5.00 dollars! Money due by May 2nd! Gracias!

Guidance (All Students)

The University at Buffalo School of Engineering and National Grid are sponsoring a 4 day engineering workshop 8/4-8/7 for students entering their sophomore or junior in high school in the fall. The focus of the camp is to introduce talented students to engineering disciplines and to encourage them to enroll in an engineering curriculum. SADD (All Students)

The next meeting of the SADD club will take place this Wednesday, April 23rd at 2:00 P.M. in room 122B. Plans for the middle school visit will be discussed. Please see Mrs. Wolf in House 2 if you have any questions.

Volleyball (All Students)

Attention all Varsity and JV volleyball players. Men and Women. Spring power sessions are scheduled to begin Wednesday at 630pm, weather permitting. Please see coach Lardo or Coach Lex. Let's GO!

Yearbook (Seniors)

Attention Seniors: There should be a list posted in your homeroom of all the seniors who have already preordered their yearbooks. Please check to see if you have ordered yet. We are about to sell out. If you would still like to order a yearbook, please submit a check for $52, made out to OPHS Yearbook in an envelope with your name and homeroom to the Yearbook mailbox in House 3. Any questions? See Mrs. Sall in Room 363 or Mrs. Stady in Room 162 after school only.

Guidance (All Students)

There will be a representative from the Army National Guard in the commons during all lunch periods on Thursday, April 24th. You can talk to him during your lunch period if you are interested and you can see your counselor if you have any questions.

buddy club (All Students)

Attention Buddy Club members, we will be meeting this Wednesday at Windom. The last two sessions have had a poor turn out, so please make every effort to attend. The bus will leave from the Freeman side at 3:00.

Junor Class (Seniors)

Listen up Seniors! Registration for prom begins Monday, April 21 and will only be available until May 2nd! You must register on a school computer before ticket sales begin. If you do not register, you will not be able to buy your prom ticket. Again, you must register on a school computer between April 21 and May 2. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Duszkeiewicz in room 219 ASAP.

Attention senior lacrosse players! The Thomas Gardner Memorial Scholarship has extended the deadline until April 25th. This scholarship is worth $2,500 and is awarded to a lacrosse female and male player. Applications can be found in House 3. See Mrs. Linder with any further questions.

STAP Comm (All Students)

Are you interested in running for a STAP Comm or Class office for the 2014-2015 school year? If so, you MUST attend the Candidates Conference on Wed, Apr 23 from 2:00-2:45 pm in room 163. This is a mandatory meeting for all students running for a Class or STAP office. Declaration of intent forms will be handed out at this meeting only. Please see Mrs. Rominger or Mr. Hafner with questions or conflicts.

Character Education Committee (All Students)

On Thursday, May 1st the district will sponsor a showing of the film Finding Kind in the high school auditorium at 7:00pm. This documentary is aimed at girls and some of the social difficulties they may face. Mothers and daughters are encouraged to enjoy refreshments and attend a discussion following the film. The cost of entrance will be $1 per ticket sold at the door on the evening of the event. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the OP Family Justice Center.
