There will be an ACT exam administered at OPHS on Saturday October 28. The registration deadline is Friday September 22. Register at ACT.org. We recommend that all students take the ACT with Writing. Please see your guidance counselor or Mrs. Goff in room 164 with any questions.

Every year, two student leaders from each state and the District of Columbia are selected to participate in an all expenses paid government leadership program in Washington, DC from March 3-10, 2018. The students engage in a series of seminars and briefings with Senators and members of the House of Representatives, and meet with various government officials. The School Counseling Department is sponsoring a series of monthly workshops on topics related to the college admissions process. Come to the Commons on Thursday, September 21st at 2:00pm for the first workshop of the year on College Essay Writing. This workshop is geared towards seniors currently working on their college essays however all students are welcome to attend.

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, 30th from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. Be sure to get your Dance Ticket that will be sold in the Aud after school starting this Thursday, Sept. 21st and Friday, Sept. 22nd, from 2:00- 3:00 They will also be sold the following Tuesday and Wednesday.
