Guidance (All Students)

Join admission representatives from Emory, Johns Hopkins, Notre Dame, the University of Virginia, and Washington University for a group presentation. The event will take place at Canisius High School at 7:00pm on September 27th. Go to the Dates to Remember page in the School Counseling section of the high school website to register.

ACT Exam (All Students)

There will be an ACT exam administered at OPHS on Saturday October 28. The registration deadline is Friday September 22. Register at ACT.org. We recommend that all students take the ACT with Writing. Please see your guidance counselor or Mrs. Goff in room 164 with any questions.

art club (All Students)

If you took Ceramics 1 or Ceramics 2 last year, please come down to room 152 to pick up your work from the end of the semester

Wrestling (All Students)

Any student thinking of wrestling this upcoming season please join Coach Teal for a very brief meeting this Thursday at 2pm down in room 116. If you are unable to attend for any reason please seek out Mr. Teal for more information.

Mock Trial (All Students)

Attention all students interested in law, debate and competition. The Orchard Park Mock trial Team will hold its first meeting of the year on Thursday September 21st at 2pm in room #127. Please see Mr. Janas for details.

Guidance (All Students)

Every year, two student leaders from each state and the District of Columbia are selected to participate in an all expenses paid government leadership program in Washington, DC from March 3-10, 2018. The students engage in a series of seminars and briefings with Senators and members of the House of Representatives, and meet with various government officials. OPHS Wellness (All Students)

The Orchard Park Student Wellness and Role Model Club will have its FIRST meeting on TUESDAY, September 19 at 2:00 PM in the Auditorium. If you received a letter over the summer about this club, please note the date of the first meeting has been changed to September 19th. Please join us and bring a friend.

Guidance (All Students)

The School Counseling Department is sponsoring a series of monthly workshops on topics related to the college admissions process. Come to the Commons on Thursday, September 21st at 2:00pm for the first workshop of the year on College Essay Writing. This workshop is geared towards seniors currently working on their college essays however all students are welcome to attend.

Cancer Awareness Club (All Students)

Attention all students interested in Cancer Awareness Club! We hope you will join us as we raise money, build awareness and offer support to those impacted by cancer. Our first meeting of the year will be on Wednesday, September 20th at 2 pm in Room 226. See Mrs. Babbles or Mrs. Quinn with any questions.

Art Club (All Students)

Attention to anyone who is interested in Art Club; the first meeting will be held in room 152 on September 19th at 2:00.

Guidance (All Students)

There will be a college fair at the Wick Student Center at Daemen College on Monday, September 18th at 6:30pm. No preregistration is required.

Counseling (All Students)

The following colleges will be visiting on Monday, September 18: SUNY Binghamton at 8:30am, Hofstra University at 9:30am, Adelphi University at 10:30am, High Point University at 11:30am, Michigan State University at 12:30pm, University of Richmond at 1:30pm. All college reps will meet with students in the House 2 Conference Room.

Book Club (All Students)

Book Club will meet for the first time Tuesday, September 19th after school, in the library. We will elect officers and discuss activities for the year.

Guidance (All Students)

There will be a highly selective college information session held at the Buffalo Marriott on Millersport Highway on Sunday, September 24th at 7:00pm. The following schools will be represented: Duke, Georgetown, Harvard, Penn and Stanford. Please go to the School Counseling Dates to Remember page to register.

Senior Class (All Students)

The Homecoming Dance is Saturday, 30th from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. Be sure to get your Dance Ticket that will be sold in the Aud after school starting this Thursday, Sept. 21st and Friday, Sept. 22nd, from 2:00- 3:00 They will also be sold the following Tuesday and Wednesday. Tickets are $20. Be sure to bring your school ID, cash, or a check made payable to OPHS - Class of 2108. See you there!
