There will be a highly selective college information session held at the Millenium Hotel in Cheektowaga on Monday, October 6th at 7:30pm. The following schools will be represented: Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Rice University, and the University of Chicago. You must register ahead of time at www.exploringeducationalexcellence.org. There is a link under "dates to remember" on the guidance page of the high school website.

Spanish National Honor Society (All Students)

Spanish National Honor Society Members-- our yearbook photo will be taken on Tuesday, October 14th at 2:50 in the gym. Be on time, we can't wait for you.

History Club (All Students)

Attention all students. The History club will be holding their first open forum discussion of the year on Thursday October 9th at 2pm in room #127. Out topic will be Gun Laws and your second amendment rights. Any student interested in debate and the history of gun laws should attend. Please see Mr. Janas with any questions or suggestions for upcoming discussions.

Mock Trial (All Students)

Attention all Mock Trial team members and anyone looking to join. Our next meeting will be Monday October 6th at 2pm in room 127. See Mr. Janas with any questions

Guidance (Seniors)

Representatives from the following colleges will be visiting today: St. John Fisher at 8:30, Roberts Wesleyan at 10:00 and Lesley University at 12:30. Reps from Alfred University and the University of Chicago will be here tomorrow.

pep club (All Students)

IF your picture was taken at homecoming by Mr. Botticelli and you would like it. Stop by room 263 after school. Bring a flash drive.

Book Club (All Students)

The next meeting of the Book Club will be this Thursday, October 3rd after school in the library. We will be choosing our first book, come with ideas. All are welcome! Check the website or see Ms. Steinbruckner for more info.

Guidance (All Students)

Syracuse University is sponsoring a free overnight program for Junior and Senior girls who are interested in the field of information technology. The IT Girls program offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills and explore careers in this area. If you are interested, please see Mrs. Stahl in House 1 for application information.

International Club (All Students)

The International Club is back! Join us for our organizational meeting on Wednesday, October 8 at 2:00 in room 329. We will be planning our activities for the year. Please see Mrs. Montesano if you are interested and not able to attend.

guidance (Seniors)

Attention Seniors - The Minias Family Scholarship applications are now available in the House 3 office. This is a $2,500 scholarship awarded to an Orchard Park High School senior who best exemplifies strong ambition, work ethic and involvement in the Orchard Park High School Community. Deadline is February 15, 2015. See Mrs. Linder with questions.

Physicals (Sports)

The district doctor will be at the High School Tuesday, October 14th from 2:00 - 2:45 p.m. for physicals. Please come to the Health Office right after school. If you are unsure if your physical is up -to-date in order to play a winter sport, please see the nurse.

Guidance (All Students)

There will be a regional reception for students interested in DePaul University at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo at 7pm on Thursday, October 9th. Students and parents are encouraged to attend.

Band (All Students)

Please be sure cars are out of the Baker lot by 4:00 p.m. today. You may however park in the first three rows closest to Baker Rd. Remember this is for all Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays during September and October only. Plan ahead especially if you are involved in an away game that day. Thank you!

There will be an information night for students looking to be nominated to one of the United States Service Academies on Monday, October 6th at Clarence High School at 6:30 PM.
