Guidance (Seniors)

Attention Seniors! The Scott Krueger Memoral Scholarship applications are now available in the House 3 office. This is a $40,000 scholarship awarded to 2 Orchard Park seniors that have a 90 or higher GPA, 4 units of science and math, and have participated in a high school sport for at least one full season. The deadline is November 17th, 2014. See Mrs. Linder with questions.

SADD (All Students)

Attention all students, faculty and Staff. Next Wednesday October 29th is Substance Abuse Awareness Day at OPHS. Please wear something RED. The purpose of wearing RED is to symbolize one the following things: To acknowledge the dangers of drug and alcohol; to remember someone whose life has been impacted by the use of drugs or alcohol, or to represent your comittment to a drug free lifestyle. Wearing red acknowledges danger, please demonstrate your support for this national day

Student Activities (All Students)

Attention all students planning on attending the next parking meeting. The Meeting on Wednesday, October 29th has been moved to Thursday the 30th in room 154. See Mrs. Stady or Mr. Biondo with any questions.

Freshman Class (Freshmen)

Attention all Freshman homeroom reps: There will be a mandatory meeting on Tuesday, October 28th at 2:00 in room 356. All must attend.

Varsity Golf Team (Sports)

CONGRATULATIONS to the Varsity Golf Team who captured their 2nd straight ECIC Boy's Golf League Title earlier this week at Tan Tara Golf Club. This is the 7th League Title for Boy's Golf in Orchard Park history, making OP Varsity Golf the most winning Boy's Golf program in ALL of Erie County since 1986. The Golf Team's regular season ECIC win streak is now set at twenty-four wins and zero losses.

science club (All Students)

Attention Science Club members and all students interested in crystals.... the science club will meet this Thurs (Oct 23) after school in Room 160 to start a crystal making competition. All students are welcome. See Mrs. Collins in Room 160 if you have questions -- or just join us on THursday after school.

Football (Sports)

The varsity football team will host Niagara Falls in Section VI playoff action on Friday. The game starts at 7 PM. ALL TICKETS ARE $5. Come out and support your Quakers.

Girls soccer (Sports)

The girls varsity soccer team will host Niagara Wheatfield in Section VI playoff action on Thursday. The game starts at 7 PM. Come out and support your Quakers.

JV Boys Soccer (All Students)

Attention all JB Boys Soccer Players. Your uniforms are due to Mr. Janas by Friday. Please bring both home and away jersey's and your shorts to room #127 by Friday. Great Season!

Girls Basketball (All Students)

Attention all girls interested in playing Varsity or JV Girls Basketball this season there will be an informational meeting on Thursday October 23rd at 2pm in room 214. Please be on time

guidance (All Students)

The Orchard Park Garden Club is offering scholarships to students interested in attending environmental conservation camps during the summer. Further information and application can be found in House 3. Deadline is December 5, 2014.

Boys basketball (All Students)

Attention basketball players. Anyone interested in trying out for the JV or Varsity boys basketball team should attend an informational meeting on Thursday October 23rd at 2 pm in room 125. If you have any questions please see Mr. Abel.

Guidance (Seniors)

Representatives from the following colleges will meet in the house 2 conference room today: Messiah at 9:00, Niagara County Community 9:30, Keuka College 10:00, and Cleveland State 11:00.

Girls Swimming (All Students)

Congratulations to Morgan Wellenzohn and Jolie Blodgett who dove to first and third place to start of the ECIC swim and dive competition. Morgan set the school record for the 3rd time, posting 477 points for 11 dives, while also setting the Maryvale pool record. Way to go ladies! The swimmers hit the water this Friday and Saturday in Clarence. Come on out and support your Quakers!
